This was my mom's second time to Disney. Last year, she did what any smart, slightly-overwhelmed planner would do, she called in help. Me, with my hands in the air, suggested a little expert help. IYKYK This year, the trip was for my brother's birthday and, yup, she went to that same Disney travel agent. The expert who could help us do everything my brother wanted to do, and a few surprises my mom wanted for him! The only thing he missed out on? Swimming. Because he decided he wanted to go to Disney Springs once more before heading out (he had his eye set on a particular lightsaber). Every ride he wanted to do, he got on (including the one with a 90 minute wait from rope drop!!). Thank goodness for Lightning Lanes! She tried to research it all herself. Honestly? She probably could have figured it all out. But she would have spent months gathering information, second-guessing every choice, and still arriving at the park wondering if she'd set something up wrong or missed something. I think about that a lot when it comes to product safety compliance (I know, I'm weird, and yes, she thinks I'm weird, too). But you know it. There's so much information out there, and so much of it feels like it was written in a way that only a lawyer could read it. So people do one of two things: They spend months trying to piece it together on their own and still feel iffy, like something is just off or missing (and often, something is). Or they put it off entirely, planning to come back to it when things "slow down". I want to know what camp you're in right now, because it actually helps me figure out what kind of content to put in front of you. Click the button that feels most like you:
Just one click. That's it. And I'll use whatever I learn from you to make sure what I send in the future is actually useful to where you are right now. (P.S. Hit reply and tell me more, if you want. I read every reply and sometimes the most helpful thing is just knowing the full picture of where you're stuck.) |
If you're a maker of things and you've not heard of product safety, now's the time to jump in! I'm here to help you master the regulations your product must follow in a less intimidating (and confusing) way than the government websites. Let me join you on your journey today!
Well, I was going to pop in your inbox with probably the hundredth++ email about Black Friday, but I got an email that I really really need to share with you all. I've always had this in the back of my mind because I want to make sure that as many people can "see" everything I have available. Whether that is physically or through screen readers. But, like many, I never am actually sure if what I'm doing is "good". I've used Claude to help me find trouble points, and honestly? It's done pretty...
Funny enough, as I write this email, I'm listing to Billie Eilish's Bad Guy. hehe Overall, it was a pretty decent holiday 'break'. Two of my kids went to the amusement park with my mother in law and I'm so thankful she was able to take them. Buuuut... It started out with the kids spending the night with grandma which is normally just fine. They hung out in her swim spa, then my daughter hopped out to help with dinner and play card games. My son finally jumped out once dinner was ready to be...
Did you miss me this last Tuesday? This was one of those weeks where I don't think I sat down once. My husband's birthday was Friday, Father's Day was Sunday, and somehow in the middle of all that I blinked and now one of my kids turns twelve on Thursday. Twelve. I don't really know how that happened. I have approximately zero slow mornings to report. And in the middle of all that and client work, my phone was buzzing with Facebook notifications. I had a small flood of new member requests to...
